Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, has sympathized with the victims of the train accident that happened on Thursday morning, March 9.
According to reports, two people had been confirmed dead at the time of writing this report, while an unspecified number of persons were injured after a passenger train crushed a Lagos State Government staff bus on its way from Alausa to Ikotun.
The unfortunate accident occurred around 7 am on Thursday.
Sanwo-Olu tweeted:
“My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families during this difficult time. A big thank you to well-meaning Lagosians who quickly joined in rescue efforts. Our first responders and emergency services are on the ground and we will share more developments shortly.”
