The world cup game is here, and Saudi Arabia made history in Qatar as they defeated Argentina, Lionel Messi’s team, 2-1 in the world cup opener.
This is the first time since 1990 that Argentina had lost their opening match in the world cup.
The match saw Messi put Argentina in the lead, but just 10 minutes into the first half, his second goal was ruled off for offside. Lauturo Martinez, scored twice, but it was still ruled off for offside.
Saudi Arabia bounced back in the second half, as Saleh Alhshehri equalized for Saudi Arabia, and Salem Aldawsari slotted in another goal for Saudi Arabia in the 53rd minute.
Argentina is to face Mexico on Saturday, hopefully, they’ll bounce back from their embarrassing defeat
