Nourah bint Saeed al-Qahtani, a Saudi lady, was given a 45-year prison term on Wednesday for allegedly damaging the nation through her social media posts.
According to Fox News, a judge indicted al-Qahtani of “disrupting the coherence of society” and “destabilizing the social fabric” and sentenced her to 45 years in prison despite the lack of any prior record of activism. Al-Qahtani was convicted two weeks after Salma al-Shehab, 33, of Saudi Arabia, was given a 34-year prison term for using her social media account to impede public order.
