Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, who was once the minority leader of the Senate and Abia state governorship aspirant under the people’s democratic party, has recently joined the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) on Friday, 27th of May, 2022.
The former Minority leader had earlier resigned from his position as the Minority leader of the Senate and also had left the people’s democratic party. His reason for this decision was because of the indemnity and illegal activities happening at the party. He made this known in two different publications, one addressed to the ward chairman of the PDP in the Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State and the other one to the President of the Senate.
Senator Abaribe who resigned and withdrew from the governorship primaries 78 hours before the event has announced his new move to APGA. He also said that he would no longer be considering running for the Abia State governorship seat but would rather prefer to be re-elected as a Senator under APGA.
