The Yola state Court of Appeal has reinstated Senator Aishatu Ahmed Binani as the Adamawa state governorship candidate of the APC political party.
The three-man panel led by the lead justice, Tani Yusuf Hassan, had waived aside, the Federal High Court, Yola’s judgment which had directed for the sacked Binani. The Appeal Court has already ordered the APC to resubmit Binani’s name to INEC, as the approved governorship candidate.
Recall that on October 14, the Federal High Court in Yola cancelled the governorship primary election of the APC, which had elected Binani as the governorship candidate of the party.
Meanwhile, the Appeal Court Judge, Hassan had remarked that the suit which was filed by way of originating summons, had come up to the Court of Appeal with eight issues for determination, together with two questions. But five issues out of the eight were dismissed while the remaining three were resolved in favor of Binani.
