Veteran music producer and singer J Martins has called on the defunct P-Square duo, Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye, to resolve their differences away from public scrutiny.
The appeal comes after Peter Okoye announced his decision to celebrate his birthday on a different date from his twin brother, citing alleged betrayal involving Paul and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.
Reacting to the development, J Martins—who worked closely with the duo for many years as a producer—questioned the reasoning behind such a move, describing it as unnecessary.
He stressed that disagreements of that nature should be handled privately rather than played out on social media, warning that the situation reflects poorly on their shared heritage.

“These are my brothers for more than two decades. I still don’t understand why one will just wake up decades to change his own birthday separate from his twin brother?
“@PeterPSquare and RudeboyPsquare can we fix these stuff inside our house and bring this shame on ‘Ndi Igbo nke anyi’,” he wrote on his X handle.
J Martins further urged the Okoye brothers to settle their dispute amicably and maintain unity, rather than allowing their conflict to remain in the public eye.
