Several people are feared dead as two U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopters collided during a routine training mission in Kentucky on Wednesday, March 29 night.
The governor of Kentucky Andy Beshear revealed this via a tweet he made on Thursday, March 30. According to him, fatalities were expected, but local authorities and emergency services were now responding to the accident.
However, the U.S. Army’s Fort Campbell has said that the status of the crew members has not been ascertained. This is as the number of individuals on board at the time of the incident had yet to be provided.
The Crew members had been flying two HH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, operated by the 101st Airborne Division, when it crashed at about 10:00 p.m. ET (02:00 am GMT Thursday) in Kentucky’s Trigg County, Fort Campbell’s public affairs office had revealed.
