The biggest city and financial hub of China, Shangai, is now returning to normalcy as the government has reduced the strict restrictions placed on the city due to Covid 19.
The city streets are now bubbling with traffics, workers, children, and every citizen that have decided to step out of their home. Residents of the city now have the freedom to leave their houses and open their shops, work offices, and building. The buses, trains, and other means of transportation have also been opened for use by the residents.
Although the restrictions have been lessened, there are still some rules that the residents would have to follow, like wearing their face masks everywhere and presenting a negative Covid result of 72 hours in public places. The residents are allowed to move around the city but they are not allowed to leave the city freely, if they leave, they’d have to undergo a seven to fourteen days quarantine on their return.
These measures taken by President Xi Jinping’ is seen as harsh and embarrassing to some of the citizens. But the president has defended this method as a strategy to completely deter the virus from coming back.
