Nigerian singer Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, has achieved her first-ever foreign certification as her hit track ‘Duduke’ was recently certified Gold in New Zealand for selling 15,000 units.
Released in 2022, ‘Duduke’ celebrates the rhythmic beat of Simi’s heart for her unborn child, with the music video featuring the singer proudly flaunting her baby bump.
The song also inspired the popular ‘Duduke Challenge,’ encouraging fans to create their own interpretations of the track.

In an interview, Simi revealed that some people have started calling her daughter, Adejare, “Duduke” because she inspired the hit song.
“Referring to my daughter as ‘Duduke’ isn’t offensive, but I prefer they call her by her name,” she explained.
This milestone marks a significant international achievement for Simi, highlighting the global appeal of her music and the impact of ‘Duduke’ on fans worldwide.
