Nollywood filmmaker and producer, Adunni Adewale famously known as Adunni Ade, is currently celebrating the fact that her debut feature film ‘Soólè’ which is streaming on Netflix, has risen to the number 1 spot on the platform after a successful run in Nigerian cinemas in 2021.
The movie, which had amassed millions of Naira in the cinemas got its flowers for its storyline, theme, cast and the aesthetics Adunni deployed.
The film plot depicts some strangers who find themselves in a sticky situation after they discover a huge sum of money on a bus while on a trip to the East.
The movie was released on Netflix on the 14th of October 2022 and has continued to garner positive reviews from audiences across the globe.
Commenting on the film’s recent popularity on social media, Adunni Ade says she is grateful for all the positive feedback she has received on the ‘Soólè’, adding that she is elated that people have found the film relatable.
Soólè, now streaming on Netflix, is produced by Adunni’s production company, Lou-Ellen Clara Films, and was directed by Kayode Kasum.
