Paul Onuachu who joined Southampton from Genk on deadline day for €18m made his debut for Southampton as a substitute in Southampton’s 3-0 win against Brentford.
Many Southampton fans questioned Southampton Manager Nathan Jones, about the decision not to start Onuachu seeing that Onuachu put up a really good performance as a substitute.
Speaking on this, Jones said that the reason why he did not start his two new signings is that they spent more time securing their Visas and work permit and could not join the others in training on time, so it was logical not to start them.
“We didn’t start them last week because they’d spent more time in a passport office than on the training pitch. That was the logical and right decision to make,” the English manager said on Onuachu and Sulemana.”
