Certain statements that were being ascribed to Nobel laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka on social media have been disputed as false.
Jahman Anikulapo, his spokesperson, said in a statement that Prof. Soyinka never issued such at any time or on any occasion. It is merely the creation of purveyors of misleading information who use misinformation to their advantage to advance their political agendas.
The message or any other political communication that addresses or targets any political party or political player is urged to be ignored by the media and the general public.
One of the quotes is “If anyone thinks that bringing down Asiwaju is his project, that mission will not only crash but it will boomerang. He owns Lagos! I hear you! Ask your grandfather and parents how they acquired your so-called family land. Is it God that allocated it to them?”
