Given that the 2023 general election is rapidly approaching, the news making the rounds suggests that Mr Sanwo-Olu would most likely win a second term as governor of Lagos State in 2023, owing to his support for Tinubu’s presidency.

Although Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former Lagos State Governor, has not declared his desire to run for President in 2023, all indications are that he has begun planning for a strong showing in that election. With this, Sanwo Olu’s significant step in favour of Tinubu’s presidency in 2023 is undermentioned;

Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, Governor Sanwo-Olu has been beating the drum of support for Bola Tinubu.

Mr Sanwo-Olu made a wise move by launching the Southwest Agenda 2023 (SWAGA ’23) in Lagos State, which is chaired by Senator Dayo Adeyeye, to show his support for Mr Bola Tinubu’s presidential bid.

According to the vanguard newspaper, all members of Governor Sanwo-State Olu’s Executive Council, legislators in the State House of Assembly, and Conference 57 were present for the flagging off of the campaign.

In his remarks during the event, Sanwo-Olu thanked members for their perseverance, effort, passion, and dedication to the cause.
