Popular Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, has made it known that nothing will deter him from embarking on the planned Yoruba Nation rally in Lagos.
Igboho said this during a live video chat on Monday.
Igboho, who spoke through his spokesperson, Olayomi Koiki, said it behooves Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to ensure that the rally holds without any fracas or conflict.
According to the activist spokesman, Igboho will storm Lagos on Saturday, July 3 alongside other agitators for the Yoruba Nation rally.
Igboho said it stands against reason that the Lagos state government will try to sabotage the rally having held similar public demonstration across the South-West states including Osun, Ogun, Ekiti, and Ondo.
The Yoruba Nation agitator vowed not to back down or get intimated by any threat, and added that there is no going back on the peaceful Yoruba Nation rally slated for Ojota Park, Lagos.
Igboho said, “We are sending a peaceful message to Governor Sanwo-Olu. We do not mind any other person who is saying we should not come to Lagos.
“Sanwo-Olu is the chief security officer of the land and we are coming to Lagos.
“July 3rd is the most important date, and nobody can say we should not come to Lagos. It is a peaceful rally.
“We have gone to Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Ekiti and we had peaceful rallies, so nobody can stop us from not coming to Lagos,” the Yoruba Nation agitator stated.
