The Super Eagles are soaring high after their impressive win against Cameroon, but Coach Peseiro warns that the real test is yet to come!

Yesterday’s victory, with Lookman’s brilliant brace, was a true celebration for Nigerian fans. It was our team’s best performance so far, and everyone can see the fire burning in their hearts.

But the journey isn’t over! We now face Angola in the quarter-finals on February 2nd, and the stakes are higher than ever. Remember, Angola surprised everyone by winning their group and knocking out Algeria! This is a team with teeth, and Coach Peseiro knows it.

“The boys are aware,” he said, giving his players a well-deserved two-day break before diving back into training. “We have a fantastic spirit now, but we need laser focus and even harder work if we want to reach the next stage.”

Peseiro also spoke highly of individual players like Osimhen, the Napoli striker who was a force on the field even without scoring. “He’s a top player, always winning balls and creating space for others,” the coach explained.

But picking the starting lineup isn’t easy, admits Peseiro. “It’s a good problem to have!” he laughs. “We have so much talent, and everyone is hungry to prove themselves.”

But one question lingers in the minds of Nigerian fans: who will stand between the sticks against Angola? With first-choice keeper Nwabili nursing an injury, will Francis Uzoho be able to handle the pressure of an attacking Angolan team?

Peseiro remains tight-lipped for now, keeping his cards close to his chest. But one thing’s for sure: the battle for AFCON glory is heating up, and the Super Eagles are determined to fight their way to the top!
