Nigeria’s Super Falcons secure a record of 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title turning a 2 goals deficit to win 3-2 over hosts Morocco in the final at Stade Olympique de Rabat on Sunday evening.

Being two goals down at the break, head coach Justin Madugu made the brave move of bringing in fresh legs and changing the line-up.
Rinsola Babajide and Jennifer Echegini came in and the attack was revitalized. The change worked in the 64th minute when Esther Okoronkwo scored from the penalty spot to bring Morocco down to one.
After seven minutes, Okoronkwo that was to score set up Folashade Ijamilusi for the equalizer. With the boost fully on Nigeria’s side, Okoronkwo created the winning moment again in the 88th minute by handing a perfect delivery to Echegini who finished the dramatic turnaround.
Nigeria kept their cool in the dying moments and emerged victorious to claim their 10th WAFCON title and calm the Moroccan crowd.
