Suspected Thugs Destroy Rivers SDP Secretariat, Abe Seeks Probe.

The Rivers State Social Democratic Party Secretariat in Nonwa, Tai L.G.A was attacked on Monday by some alleged political thugs, who destroyed the Secretariat. The Secretariat was scheduled to be inaugurated by the SDP Governorship Candidate, Senator Magnus Abe.
Abe has severally accused the Ruling People’s Democratic party of the state of masterminding several attacks on the party.
According to eyewitnesses, the attack was carried out early on Monday morning people were still asleep when they heard several shouts, they were informed that Senator Abe’s Secretariat was destroyed on getting there they saw that the whole building was Destroyed.
” A source who spoke on condition of anonymity said, “Ealy Monday, some of our people were still sleeping when we started hearing shouts.
“Reports came that they destroyed Senator Magnus Abe’s secretariat. We went there and saw that it was true. The whole building was destroyed.”
Abe through his spokesperson released a statement concerning the incident.
The statement partly read, “The SDP secretariat in Nonwa Tai, Tai LGA, due for inauguration today – Monday, December 26, 2022, was destroyed in the early hours of today by suspected political thugs.”
Reports have it that, Abe has reported the incident to the police, for investigations to be carried out.
Grace Iringe Koko, the state’s Police Spokesperson has assured the general public that they’ll look into the violent attacks targeted at the Party.
