Former Big Brother Naija housemate Tacha has opened up about her life following her controversial exit from the reality show in 2019.
In a recent appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast, Tacha reflected on the intense public reaction to her disqualification from the “Pepper Dem” season. She revealed that the backlash was so extreme that some people went as far as killing goats to celebrate her departure, highlighting the polarised opinions about her during the show.
“I’ve been called different types of names. I got disqualified from the reality TV show and people killed a goat, killed stuff,” she said.
Tacha’s exit from the show followed a physical altercation with fellow housemate Mercy Eke, who went on to win the season. The incident significantly altered public perception of Tacha, with many branding her with various names.
Beyond her BBNaija experience, Tacha also discussed the difficulties she faced while living in the UK. She disclosed that she spent a staggering £5,000 per month on rent in an upscale neighborhood, which made it challenging to maintain connections with friends balancing multiple jobs.
“Before you sleep and wake up, it’s 30 days already, and you’re like, I have to start calculating,” she said, describing the financial pressure she experienced.
