Former Big Brother Naija stars, Tope “Teddy A” Adenibuyan and his wife, Bamike “BamBam” Olawunmi-Adenibuyan, have set social media abuzz after unfollowing each other on Instagram, triggering fresh speculation about trouble in their marriage.

The couple, whose romance started during the 2018 edition of the BBNaija reality show, are often hailed as one of the most successful love stories to emerge from the franchise.

However, recent developments online have caused fans to question the stability of their relationship.

Concerns heightened following Teddy A’s recent response to long-standing allegations that he once assaulted his wife. The reality star strongly denied the accusations, explaining that the rumours took a toll on his public image and professional opportunities.

“When they said I was beating my wife, it was a lot for me. That day, I woke up and went downstairs. My wife was pregnant, and we were just laughing,” he said.

“I checked my phone, and I saw my notification going up, and I was like, I didn’t drop any content that is trending.

“What did I do, or what are they saying now. Then I’m going through comments, and I am surprised. You know my wife is a bit emotional, and she started asking who would have done this.

“I thought it was probably one ex or ‘village people.’ I called my manager, and he advised me not to fuel the fire and to let it go.

“It affected my image. Anytime my wife and I posted, the comments were terrible because we didn’t immediately debunk the claims.”

While some online users speculated that BamBam’s recent movie role, which involved a kissing scene, may have contributed to the tension, others urged restraint, noting that social media activity is not always a true reflection of what happens behind closed doors.

Checks by Federal Character confirmed that the couple have unfollowed each other on Instagram, further fuelling conversations about a possible marital strain.
