Teebillz, whose real name is Tunji Balogun, has publicly apologised to media personality Toke Makinwa for his earlier criticism of her comments regarding 2Baba and Annie Idibia’s divorce.
Makinwa was one of the first to comment on 2Baba’s announcement of his separation and the impending divorce on the night of Sunday, January 26, 2025.
In her post, Makinwa warned 2Baba to be ready to face her and others for his bold decision to divorce Annie.
Teebillz expressed his disapproval of her remarks and urged her to stay out of other people’s family issues.
He suggested that Makinwa had yet to demonstrate the level of forgiveness and love that other women with children from their partners show.
This sparked a lot of discussion on social media, with many speculating that it could strain the relationship between Teebillz and Makinwa, especially since Makinwa is close to his ex-wife, Tiwa Savage.
In a surprising turn of events, Teebillz took to Instagram on Saturday to apologise to Makinwa, admitting that his reaction was excessive.
He explained that his response had been influenced by his strong emotions for 2Face and Annie and was not reflective of his usual character.
Teebillz also expressed his desire to personally apologise and resolve the situation.
He wrote, “My sincere apologies to TM [Toke Makinwa]. I jumped the gun and goofed. I honestly acted out of character bcos of the unconditional love I have for Annie and King 2. My action was based on expired knowledge and lack of understanding of the current occurrences.
“I hope you spare my ignorance. Hopefully I get the chance to privately apologise to sort our differences. My action was exactly what I accused you of. Hope you forgive my emotional incompetence pls @tokemakinwa.”
