Nigerian singer Tems delivered a powerful performance on Sunday night at the MetLife Stadium, United States, during the halftime show of the Club World Cup final, thrilling a global audience with her soulful rendition of Love Me Jeje.

Clad in a radiant outfit that fused elegance with Afrocentric flair, the Grammy-winning star commanded the stage with confidence and poise, drawing cheers from both the stadium crowd and viewers around the world.

Her performance of Love Me Jeje—a modern reimagining of Seyi Sodimu’s 1997 classic—struck a nostalgic chord while showcasing her distinct sound. Since its debut earlier this year, the song has resonated deeply with fans, blending vintage Nigerian rhythms with a fresh, contemporary edge.

Another added, “Love Me Jeje hit harder live. What a moment for African music. What a moment for Tems.”

The event marked a significant cultural milestone, with many highlighting the importance of African representation on such a prestigious global football platform.
