In a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, on Sunday, December 4, the deployment of the special units had been directed by the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba.
Adejobi then added that the deployment covered included all the major stations along the route and operational coaches to provide adequate security for all passengers.
Recall that on 28 March 2022, terrorists attacked the Abuja–Kaduna train in Katari, forcing the NRC to suspend all operations along the route. In the attack, eight passengers had been killed while 62 others were abducted by the gunmen.
