The Accord Party candidate for Atisbo/Saki East/Saki West Federal constituency in Oyo State, Jacob Funmi Ogunmola, has been confirmed dead.
According to OYOINSIGHT publications, Ogunmola died on Sunday, December 4, a few hours after he attended a political function in Saki.
The deceased politician had been the caretaker chairman of Atisbo Local Government under the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
In a post on his Facebook campaign page, the Ago Are-born politician could be seen informing his host that it was not in his habit to be tardy to events but that he had a crisis.
A few months ago, Ogunmola’s successor in office as council chairman, Wasiu Owolabi, had died in a car crash.
