If we can recall, it was reported that Chelsea was interested in Barcelona player, Aubameyang as Fabrizio Romano, even described him as a “potential striker” for the club. Report also has it that Aubameyang isn’t interested in playing for Stamford Bridge, despite the cordial relationship he has with Chelsea’s manager Thomas Tuchel whilst their stay at Dortmund.
Thomas Tuchel has come out to say that whether the player joins the club or not he remains one of his players, even though the club is desperate to get another striker due to the departure of Romelu Lukaku.
According to Tuchel, he enjoyed working with Aubameyang, and the situation now, cannot stop the way he feels about the player. He went further to say that Aubameyang is a player dear to his heart, that will forever remain there
“I enjoyed a lot working with him, it was a pleasure. This has nothing to do with the situation now, but some players stay your players because you were very, very close and Auba is one of those players,” Tuchel told reporters on Friday.
“We had a very close relationship. Always when he played here with Arsenal, it was straight away this close bond. They always stay your players in a way and Auba is one of those players.”
