Three security personnel have reportedly lost their lives following an attack by suspected terrorists on Tenobo village in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The incident was disclosed in a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Saturday night.
According to the report, the attack occurred around 1:10 a.m. on May 1 when armed men invaded the community and opened fire on security operatives stationed in the area.
Security sources revealed that troops from the 22 Brigade, alongside other security personnel, forest guards, and vigilantes, responded after receiving a distress call from the community.

Preliminary reports indicated that three security operatives were killed during the confrontation, while two officers of the Mobile Police Force sustained gunshot injuries.
“The attackers were also said to have escaped with two AK-47 rifles and one riot gun after the operation,” Makama wrote.
The injured officers, as well as the bodies of the deceased, were reportedly evacuated to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital for treatment and other necessary procedures.
Security agencies have since commenced operations aimed at tracking down the attackers and recovering the stolen weapons.
