TikToker SeaKing, real name Olumide Ogunsanwo, has been released from police custody, according to Omoyele Sowore, the publisher of Sahara Reporters.
Following remarks he made during a live session in December 2024, the social media personality was arrested on suspicion of cyberbullying against Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the head of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
Sowore, who actively campaigned for the TikToker’s release, announced on Facebook on Monday that SeaKing had been freed from detention.
According to the former presidential contender, he signed the administrative bail.
“We are pleased to confirm that Olumide Ogunsanwo @seaking303 has been released from Nigeria Police Force custody, subsequent to our prompt rejection of the initial bail condition requiring a Level 12 or 10 civil servant, resulting in a swift agreement and release on administrative bail, signed by me. Great thanks to Inibehe Effiong, Adeyanju Deji, Tope Temokun and Marshal D F Abubakar and the great community of conscientious citizens who reject oppression of all kinds in our nation! #RevolutionNow”
It should be recalled that Adeboye requested for the social media personality’s release during a February Holy Ghost service in Simawa’s 3km by 3km auditorium in Ogun State.
He stated that the TikToker was merely fulfilling prophecy.
“God told us at the beginning of this year that mockers will be more active, they would become bolder, even hot,” said the RCCG leader.
“I heard that there was someone who lambasted me thoroughly because I asked my people to fast and pray for 100 days. I did not ask him to fast. I was only talking to my children.
“I was told that some people are so angry and they went and arrested him. Release him! He is fulfilling prophecy.”
