President Bola Tinubu has released a statement, regarding the death of Iyalode Alaba Lawson, MFR.
Tinubu had expressed deep sadness over the demise of Lawson, who he tagged as a resourceful, audacious, astute, and illustrious businesswoman and leader.
The Nigerian President had in a statement he released through the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, proffered his deepest sympathy and condolences to Lawson’s family and friends.
In Tinubu’s words,
“Iyalode Lawson embodied enterprise, intelligence, and ingenuity. Her death is a very painful blow. May the Almighty God grant her eternal rest.”
The deceased, Lawson, had died at the age of 72. Prior to her death, she had been the former president of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture, NACCIMA.
She had also been a shrewd politician, a noteworthy entrepreneur and an academician.
She was born on January 18, 1951, in Abeokuta Ogun State, Nigeria.
