Nigerian music sensation Tiwa Savage has opened up about why she believes she remains single, citing her high expectations for a future partner.
In a recent Apple Music 1 interview, the 45-year-old singer reflected on her 2023 hit Somebody’s Son and the type of man she hopes to be with. Savage revealed that while she is open to love, she is unwilling to compromise on her standards, which include financial stability, luxury, and a drama-free life.
“I’m still looking for someone’s son. I don’t have any [partner]. And I think it is because I’m asking for specific things. Maybe I need to narrow my search down,” she said.
The Stamina star also shared that her ideal partner must own a private jet and a yacht and avoid complicated family situations.
“I’m actually looking for someone who has a private plane, yacht; someone who doesn’t have baby mama drama because I can’t deal with that. Maybe that’s my problem,” Savage admitted.
Recently, the award-winning singer emphasized that she now places financial stability above romance in relationships. In May, she also revealed her reluctance to date Nigerian men, citing what she described as a “lack of romance.”
Savage was previously married to Tunji ‘TeeBillz’ Balogun in 2013. The couple welcomed their son, Jamal, in 2015 before their marriage ended in 2018.
