Transcorp Power has been chosen as the preferred bidder for the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) by the Federal Government (FG).
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo announced on Tuesday when commissioning the Afam 3 Fast Power 240-megawatt turbine in Rivers State.
The authorization was given by the National Council on Privatisation (NCP), according to Osinbajo, and the acquisition cost is 105.3 trillion.
He went on to say that the discovery represents a huge step forward in the country’s electricity industry.
