Manchester United have revived their interest in £40m-rated Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, with a number of clubs circling the shot-stopper. Then there’s Scott McTominay, who is apparently encouraging Alejandro Garnacho to snub United for needed a new winger, Serie A leaders Napoli, who have placed a £70m price tag on the 19-year-old.
Barcelona have turned down AC Milan’s opening offer of €25m plus €10m in add-ons for Frenkie de Jong, wanting at least €45m. The Spanish giants are also under threat of having five players poached by the Saudi Pro League: Raphinha, De Jong, Andreas Christensen, Ansu Fati and Robert Lewandowski.
Chelsea’s ambitions of signing Marc Guehi this winter have hit a roadblock, with the defender unlikely to seek a mid-season move from Crystal Palace. When Phil Foden is injured, Ruben Dias is really done, and they’re very rough to watch, and then Manchester City plan a medical for Palmeiras centre-back Vitor Reis, which will bring in for the club less than £30m.
Arsenal are considering a move for Marseille striker Elye Wahi after Gabriel Jesus was injured, but they have competition from West Ham. The Hammers also had a £40m offer for Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran turned down and have turned their attention to Andre Silva of RB Leipzig on loan.
Liverpool in talks with Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich, who is a free agent this summer. Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes and young Greek striker Stefanos Tzimas has also been on the Reds’ radar.
Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku is interested in a move to Bayern Munich and has agreed personal terms; the two clubs are still yet to agree a fee.
Also on that list are Tottenham, Everton and Nottingham Forest fighting over Palmeiras’ Richard Rios, although Aston Villa are moving to snatch Almeria right-back Marc Pubill out of the clutches of Barcelona with a €20m bid.
