The summer transfer window officially commenced on June 1st, allowing a special 10-day period for transfer due to the Club World Cup, and the transfer news, both confirmed and rumours, continue to come at a fast pace.

One of the confirmed transfers is a record-breaking one in women’s football: France national team striker Marie-Antoinette Katoto has signed with OL Lyon for four years from PSG. The 25-year-old goes to the new club as PSG’s record goal scorer with 180 goals in 223 appearances.

In the men’s football, Leverkusen from Germany signed a Dutch goalie Mark Flekken from English team Brentford for €10 million and the latter did not waste time and immediately responded by signing Liverpool’s Caoimhin Kelleher for five years as his replacement.

Manchester City have been on the move a lot. The Premier League champions are believed to have reached an agreement on personal terms with Lyon playmaker Rayan Cherki and are in the last stage of signing Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan, so please stay tuned for the announcement which is expected within 24 hours.

 

Real Madrid want to be the first to get Argentine prodigy Franco Mastantuono from River Plate, but PSG are still in the race. In the meantime, Porto are about to get Gabri Veiga to Europe from Al Ahli for €17 million, which is just a year after the Spanish player had left Celta Vigo.

Borussia Dortmund are about to clinch Jobe Bellingham, Jude Bellingham’s younger sibling, on a five-year contract. On the other hand, AC Milan are trying to pull off a deal for Liverpool forward Federico Chiesa if they do not lose Theo Hernandez to Atletico Madrid as the player is still a subject to negotiation.

Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United has turned down a very good offer from Al Hilal according to some reports, and has decided to remain in Europe. It is likely that Christian Eriksen will depart from Old Trafford when his contract ends since Ajax is willing to have him back.

Chelsea might get rid of a maximum number of 14 players in this summer transfer window. Noni Madueke and Christopher Nkunku are among those going out. Furthermore, Inter Milan have set their sights on Rasmus Hojlund while Spurs have their eyes on Fikayo Tomori.
