The summer transfer window is open and a lot of exciting moves have come in that show a lot of activity in the European market.

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has agreed a loan with Barcelona. David Ornstein shed light on a deal being near just before Fabrizio Romano came in to confirm that the agreement is done. Rashford, who was on loan at Aston Villa, reportedly was willing to take a drastic pay cut to help Barcelona adhere to their salary cap. The contract also contains a buy-now option next summer.

Roma have grabbed a very young fullback from Brighton in the Premier League who is also a striker besides being a footballer. Significantly according to Romano, the Irishman moves to Roma on a deal of a loan and a takeover worth 40 million euros.

On the other side of the Channel, Marseille are about to bring in Feyenoord striker Igor Paixao and a return of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is still on from Al Qadisiya for the French side.

In other areas of the Premier League, Arsenal have announced the conclusion of Noni Madueke from Chelsea in the form of a transfer that may go up to £52 million. Mikel Arteta pictures the 23-year-old as definitely “one of the most talented wide forward players in the Premier League.”

Championship sides haven’t been idle either. Wrexham signed the defender Liberato Cacace from Empoli, pushing their transfer record beyond the previous high while Watford got Nestory Irankunda from Bayern Munich on a permanent deal. Leeds United, getting ready for a comeback to the top flight, have picked up midfielder Sean Longstaff from Newcastle on a contract that runs until 2029.

Other interesting transfers have been Danilo’s move from Nottingham Forest to Botafogo and Benfica signing Enzo Barrenechea from Aston Villa. Moreover, Sunderland are also closing in on a €20 million deal for Sassuolo winger Armand Laurienté.

There will be more blockbuster deals as the window is open and the clubs are in a race to strengthen their squads for the 2024-25 season.
