Nigerian singer Skales has officially released his much-anticipated studio album, Martina’s Son.
The artist announced on Friday that the album is now available across all major streaming platforms.
Describing the project as deeply personal, Skales revealed that the 16-track album honors his late mother. “Thank you Ms Martina for birthing me and sacrificing your life for me! Martina’s Son the album out now worldwide,” he wrote.
Martina’s Son traces Skales’ journey from humble beginnings to international acclaim, exploring themes of gratitude, resilience, and the legacy he hopes to leave behind.
The album features collaborations with several artists, including FAVE, Innos’B, Nasboi, Faze, Magnito, Yinka Ayefele, and Kvng Vinci.
The tracklist includes songs such as “Until We Meet Again,” “Glory,” “Mental,” “Scandal,” “Busy,” “Colour,” “Body on Me,” and “Unbelievable.” Other tracks on the album include “Loosegaurd,” “Blessings Shower,” “Alcohol Na Your Mate?,” “B.T.S,” “Tota E Mole,” “Shake Body (Spanish Remix),” “D.L.L.Y,” and “Jogo.”
Skales, born Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, first rose to fame after winning the North Central region of the Zain Tru Search contest in 2008. In 2009, he signed with Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) alongside notable artists such as Wizkid and Niyola.
Recently, Skales’ 2015 hit “Shake Body” gained renewed attention after being featured in a major Adidas advertisement starring Barcelona’s teenage sensation, Lamine Yamal.
