Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Calls on Western Nations to Respond to Israeli Actions in Palestine
During a joint press conference with Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged Western countries to address the Israeli government’s actions in Palestine.
“We have witnessed Western nations responding collectively to Iran’s actions,” Erdogan stated. “Now, these same nations must unite in conveying to Israel that ‘enough is enough.'”
Erdogan emphasized the need to discuss measures against the “brutality in the occupied Palestinian territories” and cautioned against allowing Israel to manipulate the agenda or conceal the situation in Gaza.
While Erdogan’s stance on Iran’s actions as a distraction tactic by Israel is debatable, he stressed the importance of achieving an immediate and sustainable ceasefire in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He called for subsequent steps toward realizing a two-state solution.
President Hassan expressed support for Turkey’s endeavors to seek peaceful resolutions to global conflicts and echoed the call for an urgent ceasefire in Gaza, emphasizing Tanzania’s backing for humanitarian aid delivery to the region
