After failing to make it as Forbes richest man in the world in 2023, due to buying Twitter from the stock of Tesla, Elon Musk is holding firmly to his promise to remove free verification from user accounts, if they fail to pay the required fee for verification.
According to him, on his Twitter account, “the final date for removing legacy blue checks is 4/20”.
Elon Musk is ready to monetize Twitter, as prior to his buying of Twitter, verification was Free and does not need to be monthly renewed, however, the rules have changed since there’s a new boss around.
