A bishop at the Kingdom Church in Camberwell, South London, United Kingdom, Bishop Climate Wiseman, has been found guilty of fraud after selling bottles of “protection oil” as a Covid-19 cure.

Wiseman, aged 47, had told the Inner London Crown Court that he had been inspired to sell the oil after a visitation from God telling him he was a prophet who could cure coronavirus.

According to reports, Wiseman had sold each bottle as part of a protection kit that included other items like a prayer card and scarlet yarn for £91.

He had additionally told jurors about his performed miracles, including curing the blind and had insisted that the oil which he claims had a scientific and medical effect, was capable of curing or preventing Covid-19 for both him and members of his church because of their faith.

But Wiseman had been found guilty on Thursday, December 8, of the more serious offense of fraud between the period March 23, 2020, and March 24, 2021.

Wearing a purple clerical shirt and dog collar, the bishop showed no emotion as the verdict was delivered.
