The United Nations has said that at least 6800 civilians have been recorded as casualties so far, in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine War.
This was revealed by the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, OHCHR, stating that at most, 6,884 civilians were killed and 10,947 were injured in Ukraine between the beginning of the Russian invasion on February 24 and December 26.
The casualties include 165 deaths and 516 injuries recorded in December, the majority of which were caused by the use of explosives.
According to the agency, the confirmed dead persons included: 2,719 men, 1,832 women, and 1,904 adults whose gender is still yet to be determined.
