Drunk Nigerian Policemen Die in Car Crash in Niger State

Three reportedly drunk policemen along with three other persons have died in a ghastly auto accident at Gada Yan Biyu village in Shiroro Local Government Area, LGA, of Niger State.

The accident which occurred around 8 pm on Tuesday, had also left two others with different degrees of injuries.

According to reports, a vehicle with registration numbers ME 117 AAA conveying the three policemen had been heading to Minna when it had a head-on collision with a vehicle belonging to the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, going to Kuta from Minna.

The NULGE driver, Mal Uba, who sustained multiple fractures in his left leg and arm with his head bleeding, had, unfortunately, died on the way to the hospital, while the 3 policemen had died on the spot.

Meanwhile, an eyewitness had told Sahara reporters that the three policemen, from Minna barracks, had reportedly gotten drunk while driving and that led them to collide with the other vehicle coming.

Some other witnesses had also attested to this fact.
