Ololade Ayelabola, an undergraduate from the University of Lagos, embarks on an inspiring journey in an attempt to break the 41-year-old Guinness World Record for the longest distance catwalk by a model. Having walked over 71 hours, her determination is high, breaking her target of 96 hours seems within her sights, and her passion and purpose keep her spirit fired up.
At 5 ft 10, she had been rejected earlier for two national fashion shows because she didn’t make the strict height requirements set by the modeling world.
But rather than letting rejections get in her way, she decided to face them head on. In making this ambitious walk, Ololade targets a world record and the need for more inclusivity in the modeling industry, where rigid height requirements often limit aspiring models from pursuing their dreams.
