Ahmad Jamal, United States Legendary Jazz pianist passed away on Sunday, at age 92.
The legendary jazz pianist battled with prostate cancer for a while, his daughter Sumayah announced his death on Monday as according to her he died in Ashley Falls Massachusetts.
Ahmad was well reverenced by many jazz artists as he has been a composer and bandleader for six decades in the industry.
Ahmad didn’t die unrecognized, as he was given a lifetime achievement Grammy in 2017, Kennedy Carter even described him as a “living jazz legend”
Ahmad carved his niche in the industry, he trained under Mary Cardwell Dawson, and he brought about the phrase “American Classical music” Ahmad was a legend that will be missed worldwide.
