The statement clearly directed Akaolisa to hand over all government property in his custody to the State Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice. “He is expected to do this without delay,” the government said.

No Reason Given for Akaolisa’s Removal

Despite the weight of the announcement, the Imo State government did not disclose any reason for Akaolisa’s sack. This silence has raised questions across the state, as citizens speculate on the possible causes. No allegations have been made public. However, some believe the timing of the decision could be tied to internal government disagreements or political restructuring within Uzodimma’s cabinet.

The sudden decision by Governor Uzodimma to sack Cyprian Akaolisa as Attorney General without offering a reason has left many wondering what’s next for Imo’s justice sector. As of now, there’s no official word from Akaolisa. The lack of transparency from the government on such a major decision could be seen as troubling for those who expect openness in leadership.
