Social media activist, Verydarkman, has attacked the government of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. VDM ridiculed the government for its penchant for continuous borrowing of money from every Tom, Dick, and Harry international body that would lend to them; recently raking up $6.45 billion in loans within just 16 months from the World Bank.
After raising over N21 million for his new NGO, VDM joked in a video that he might soon expect the government to borrow from him the amount of money he’s collected for his initiative. His comments comes amidst wider criticism of the government’s reliance on foreign loans.
Even popular comedian MC Jollof did not escape VDM’s fingers, as he accused him of using his platform to promote football gambling. He also warned the comedian to be more responsible in the usage of his influence so he would not mislead young Nigerians.
Looking ahead, VDM said the movement would keep advocacy for transparency among NGOs in Nigeria going, adding that accountability will be one of the core subjects his new project would take on at launch.
