Social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, has responded to the official statement issued by Tokindrumz, the management company representing Chinedu Ani, also known as Nedu Wazobia.
It is worth noting that VDM had previously called out Nedu over the N60 million scholarship funds intended to support Nigerian students.
In a video posted by the activist on Monday on his Instagram page, he shared recordings of Nedu, in which he mentioned that celebrities, including Brother Shaggy and other influencers, were to promote the program.
VDM challenged Nedu to provide proof that he gave each of the influencers he mentioned N500k to promote the scholarship scheme.
The social media critic accused Nedu of taking N60 million and keeping it without fulfilling the promises he made regarding the scholarship scheme.
He claimed that Nedu had promised to post the videos of the influencers but never did, despite having collected the money.
In one of the voice notes, Nedu stated that he didn’t want the program to take place in Nigeria again. VDM fired back at Nedu, criticising his preference to take the program to London and South Africa instead.
VDM argued that the scheme was meant to benefit Nigerian students and questioned why it should be taken to London or South Africa instead.
The critic called out Sarah Williams, the Chief Operating Officer of Tokindrumz, suggesting that she might be the one who embezzled the funds meant for the project.
VDM stated that the sponsor pulled out because they had paid but were not receiving any of the promises that were made to them.
Captioning the post, he wrote, “Evidence choke oo @tma.africa madam Sarah i will be waiting for your next post after this video I WILL BE WAITING”
