Popular NTA (Nigeria Television Authority) News Presenter, Aisha Bello Mustapha has passed away after suffering a brief illness while in Abuja.
The news presenter had been a popular face on the Nigerian news broadcasting between the 90s and the early 2000s and she had retired from the NTA news network in May 2022.
Zainab Sabo, a close friend to the deceased had confirmed the death, saying that a funeral prayer would take place at the Abuja Central Mosque by 1pm on Monday.

The Late Aisha Bello Mustapha’s Profile
After spending 35 years working with NTA, Mrs Mustapha retired on May 2022, concluding her admirable career in the broadcasting industry.
Mustapha had been resourceful and her skill set include journalism, broadcasting, television production, editing, and her last known role had been as the General Manager of NTA Parliament before she retired.
Her skilful manner and her distinctive style solidified her as one of NTA’s most well-known faces and voices, leaving a huge mark in the Nigerian broadcast industry.
On the basis of Education, she earned a Bachelor’s degree for Mass Communication/Media Studies from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria now Kaduna State.
