Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has tendered his confolences to Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) over the death of his 25-year old daughter, Fatima, on Friday.
Shettima had during the funeral prayers at the Annur Mosque in Abuja on Friday, prayed for the peaceful repose of Fatima’s soul, asking God to grant the Kyari family the strength to bear the loss.
Kashim Shettima had further sent his condolences in a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Media and Communications, Office of the Vice President, Stanley Nkwocha and the statement read;
“Vice President Kashim Shettima has condoled with the family of the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Mele Kyari, over the loss of his daughter, Fatima Kyari.
“VP Shettima, who prayed for the peaceful repose of the late Fatima, asked God to grant the family the strength to bear the painful exit of their daughter, who was in her prime.
“The Vice President led other mourners at the funeral prayers, which were held at the Annur Mosque in Abuja.”
At the time of filing this report, the cause of Fatima’s death remains uncertain.
