Annor Walker, the head coach of the Black Galaxies of Ghana, has stated that his team will definitely qualify for the 2023 Africa Nations Championship next year.
Nigeria and Ghana are to face each other in the first round of the qualifier, which is to hold in Cape Town Stadium on Sunday. The next leg will then take place in Moshood Abiola Stadium Abuja on September 3rd.
The black Galaxies of Ghana thrashed Benin republic 4-0 in the previous round.
According to Walker, they are very prepared to face Nigeria on Sunday, he further admitted that the match would be very difficult as Nigeria is a strong competition but he is assured that they’ll qualify
“We are playing Nigeria on Sunday and I must say we are ready for the game,” Walker told Asempa FM as quoted by Ghanasoccernet.com.
“It will be a tough game but we are prepared and I am confident that we will qualify for the CHAN tournament next year,” he added
The last three editions of the tournament didn’t see Ghana participate, but they are very confident that they’ll secure their ticket to feature in next year’s CHAN Tournament slated to hold from January 8 to January 31, 2023.
