Mateo Kovacic has stated that he hates it when he’s not playing on the pitch.
If we can recall, Mateo Kovacic sustained an injury, that saw him off the pitch for a while, as he didn’t feature in Chelsea’s three first games in this premier league season. He returned from treatment on Wednesday, as he joined his teammates in training at Stamford Bridge. There’s every possibility that he will feature in the Chelsea match against Leicester City seeing that he has fully recovered.
The season hasn’t been pleasant for Chelsea, as they won their first match, drew their second match, and lost their third match.
Speaking on this, Kovacic said that he hates it whenever he has an injury as it will prevent him from playing for his club. He further stated that he’s ready to support his club through its difficult time, as they must work together as a group.
The Croatia international midfielder told Chelsea’s official website, “I hate it, it was tough but the injury gives you something to improve on more on the other side.
“I hate not to be on the pitch it’s difficult. I try to support the team in tough moments I think it’s important we act as a group and everyone is involved in what we are doing.”
