Nigerian comedian Seyi Law has openly reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, declaring that he is ready to stand firmly behind the country’s leader.
Speaking at the All Progressives Congress Convention 2026 held in Abuja on Friday, the comedian explained that his loyalty is rooted in his belief that Tinubu played a crucial role in stabilising Nigeria’s economy.
He stated that the president stepped in at a critical time when the country was facing serious financial challenges.

“And I said to myself, if I was to introduce Mr President, how would I do it? And I just said I will let people know that this is a man that I am willing to stake everything for because he is the man that brought Nigeria back from the brink of economic collapse when our national reserve stood at barely $1 billion,” he said.
Seyi Law further pointed to what he described as improvements in the nation’s financial standing, noting a significant rise in reserves since Tinubu assumed office.
“But today we celebrate our national reserve that is about $40 billion and our gross reserve that is at about $50.7 billion.”
The comedian had previously supported Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election and has remained vocal about his stance.
However, he recently faced backlash after stating that Nigeria is safer under the current administration compared to a decade ago. He later apologised, admitting that his remarks were poorly expressed and may have hurt some Nigerians.
