The Nigerian Federal Government had on Wednesday, November 1, made an announcement to the Ministry of Works stating that it will be shutting down two ramps of the Third Mainland Bridge for repairs and maintenance.
According to the statement signed by the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Engr. (Mrs.) O. I. Kesha, the general public was ‘hereby notified that the repair works will commence with the ramps linking Oworoshoki to Adekunle and Lagos- Island (Adeniji Adele ) to Adekunle comcurrently.”
Keisha had also disclosed that the ramps will be barred to traffic as from 7 a.m. on Monday, 6th November 2023 for a duration of 5 weeks.
To this effect, she advised motorists to work together with the traffic management personnel by obeying and observing all rerouting as directed. Lastly, she encouraged road users to comply with the instructions on the alternative routes that would be announced.
