Reality TV star Phyna has shared heartfelt words of support for fellow Big Brother Naija winner Imisi, who is currently embroiled in a public conflict with her mother.
In a post on X on Monday, Phyna reached out to Imisi and others dealing with similar struggles, writing: “To Imisi, @imisiofficial and to anyone walking through the same fire… I’m praying for your strength.
“My own experience broke me, but I’m slowly rising.
“And I’m rooting for you with everything in me, don’t handle it like I did, build strong and focus on you baby girl.”
Her message follows a wave of controversy sparked by accusations from Imisi’s mother, who claimed her daughter harboured hatred toward her and highlighted the poor state of her living conditions—even after Imisi won N150 million from the Big Brother Naija show.

Responding in Yoruba, Imisi urged her mother to avoid further public confrontation and promised to support her financially.
She said: “This is why Aunty Debola said you should not show your face to the world. I can’t be saying all that now, you are in the midst of people. Just overlook everything and leave social media.
“Don’t worry, I will send you money to rent a new house. I am tired of all this drama. I am still recovering from the stress of Big Brother.
“Should I be facing another stress now? Please forgive me, I am your daughter.”
Imisi’s mother had earlier voiced her displeasure online, insisting she did not need her daughter’s money and accusing Imisi of making exaggerated claims about childhood neglect and sexual abuse.
She also shared a video of her modest home, stirring heated reactions among viewers.
This situation revived memories of Phyna’s own family rift. In 2023, shortly after her BBNaija victory, her father, Felix Otabor, revealed that he felt abandoned by his daughter.
According to him, Phyna urged him to quit his job as a hearse driver and sell his cars with promises of a better life. He explained that after parting with the vehicles, he struggled financially and lost his standing in the community, adding that he had not seen her since her win.
Phyna’s recent message suggests that her personal ordeal continues to shape her empathy for others navigating family crises under public scrutiny.
